REGULATORY STUDIES
General Toxicology, Mutagenicity, Toxico-kinetics, Immuno-toxicology, Inhalation Toxicology, Eco-toxicology, Developmental and reproductive Toxicology (DART), Biological Tests, Physico Chemical Testing, Impurity Profiling, Chemical/Drug Characterization, Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetic (DMPK), Safety pharmacology etc.
DRUG DISCOVERY & DEVELOPMENT
The facility has cutting-edge Drug Discovery and Development Labs to support an array of functions like Custom synthesis, Medicinal chemistry, cell-based assays, molecular biology, Pharmacokinetics, In-vivo Pharmacology, Regulatory toxicology, Process R & D, Formulation and Analytical development, analytical method development, biopharmaceutical development, Process & product development, nano-drug delivery system development, protein and peptides delivery system, bioavailability enhancement, novel carriers for cancer targeting etc.
The thrust areas include lead Identification and screening, cell-based assays, and customized animal model development for a wide range of therapeutic areas like oncology (Xenograft, Syngenic, Orthotopic, Metastasis, angiogenesis), Metabolic Disorders, Pain and inflammation, Neuro-pharmacology etc.

MEDICAL DEVICES
Biological evaluation of Medical devices as per ISO 10993
Testing of medical devices, drug testing (biological drug testing and herbal and neutraceuticals). The organisation is capable of pilot scale-up study, patent filing, design of batch manufacturing record, real-time and accelerated stability study, characterization studies including pre-formulation and post-formulation evaluation, design of specialized carrier for tissue targeting, in vivo pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamic study, Cell culture molecular biology, custom synthesis and new product development.
The facility is competent to develop and validate challenging analytical methods for various APIs, NCEs and new drug molecules. Process development and optimization is a core strength of an analytical R & D laboratory employing a wide range of modern laboratory practices and instruments. Identification tests, purity analysis of NCEs, residual solvent analysis, toxic solvent analysis, and volatile and non-volatile impurity analysis are routinely performed as part of R & D activity in the analytical facility.
The dedicated Microbiology wing is being maintained at par with the national and international standards/regulatory compliances and holds a plethora of equipment viz. laminar airflow, HPV fogger, Colony counter, microscope, BOD incubators, bacteriological incubators, Ultra refrigerator, centrifuge etc to its credit.
The highly equipped Vivarium, complying with the requirements of CPCSEA, AAALACi, OECD GLP, and NABL guidelines, is having 55 animal housing clean rooms with dedicated AHU systems at par with the specifications outlined in the national/international standards. Animal experimentation is under the control of the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) and animal use is regulated as per the CPCSEA guidelines
